Vacation Day 2

Hello again readers,

Today we drove about twenty minutes to the Merritt Island Wild Life Refuge where we saw several amazing birds: egrets, herons, Roseatte Spoonbills, white and black ibis, pelicans and some huge turkey vultures.

The weather was perfect and we saw many beautiful palm trees, an orange tree and a tree with red berries on it.

The grasslands and marsh were pretty spectacular too.

Above you can see the drawbridge we got to watch while we were at the Manatee viewing site. Unfortunately, it was too cold for Manatees, but we got to watch the drawbridge going up and down, which was a nice difference from what bridges back in Canada do.

After a lovely day at the Wild Life Refuge, we had a dip on the resort pool followed by a nice relaxing soak in the hot tub. After a lovely dinner of talapia, zucchini and roast potatoes with butter, we enjoyed some homemade brownies and are now watching a Christmas movie from the resort. It’s been another wonderful day of vacation. Hoping to get more done on my book through this week. Wish me luck!

Until next time, keep dreaming and never give up!
